Zero Dash One is an independent creative technology studio based in the Texas Hill Country.

We design and build interactive web experiences, generative visual systems, and small-team product work for founders, agencies, and brands that care about craft. Engagements are remote, project-based, and led directly by the studio principal — no junior pass-through, no agency overhead.

The piece you scrolled past is a hand-written Canvas2D sketch shipped as a single, obfuscated, ~80 KB HTML file. It is also a demo of how we work: small, deliberate, and end-to-end.

What we do

• Interactive Web
  Custom microsites, product launches, and one-off web pieces. Hand-rolled rendering, performance budgets, and a designed feel for everything that moves — not a template.
• Generative Visuals
  Motion systems, generative identity assets, and simulation-based imagery for brands, products, and editorial use. Output ranges from interactive web to high-resolution stills and short loops.
• Site & Product Builds
  Full-stack web builds for boutique brands and early-stage products. Design, code, deploy. Modern stack — statically generated where it makes sense, edge-deployed, low-overhead to maintain.
• Creative Tech Consulting
  Discovery, prototyping, and technical direction for studios and agencies that need a creative-technology partner on a specific brief. Short engagements, written outputs, no retainer.

How we work

Project-based with fixed scope and fixed price. Every engagement starts with a one-week paid discovery: scope, sketches, schedule, and a written proposal. From there, weekly check-ins through launch. No retainers, no monthly creep, no surprise invoices.

We take on a small number of projects at a time and decline most inquiries. That’s how the work stays good. If your timeline is right, we’ll tell you. If it isn’t, we’ll tell you that too — and usually point you at someone better suited.
